Rugsėjo 23 d. – spalio 26 d. Vilniaus senamiesčio Stiklo kvartalas švenčia savo 609-ąjį gimtadienį ir kviečia miestiečius bei miesto svečius į šiuolaikinio lietuvių stiklo meno ir dizaino festivalį „Ieškok obuolio 2025“.

Stiklo kvartalo istorija siekia beveik penkis šimtmečius – dar Lietuvos didžiojo kunigaikščio ir Lenkijos karaliaus Žygimanto Augusto laikais čia buvo įkurta pirmoji Martyno Paleckio šeimos stiklo manufaktūra. Nuo tada į Stiklių gatvę ištisos vilniečių kartos traukdavo įsigyti stiklo gaminių, o XIX a. pabaigoje ši vieta turėjo net tris Stiklo gatves ir vieną skersgatvį. Ilgainiui ši erdvė tapo vadinama Stiklo kvartalu.

Šiandien Stiklo kvartalas išsaugo gyvą kultūrinį tęstinumą ir kviečia pažvelgti į stiklą šiuolaikinio meno akimis. Festivalio „Ieškok obuolio 2025“ metu lankytojų laukia įspūdinga kelionė – stiklo meno kūriniai kvartalo verslų languose ir interjeruose, speciali paroda Artifex galerijoje, paskaitos ir ekskursijos, atveriančios stiklo istorijos paslaptis, stiklo tendencijas bei technologijas.

Čia pat bus galima dalyvauti kūrybinėse karoliukų dirbtuvėse, užsukti į stiklo blusų turgų, o kulinariniai atradimai su obuoliais restoranų, kavinių ir barų meniu leis patirti, kaip menas ir skoniai susipina į vientisą patyrimą. Prie festivalio prisijungia ir interjero butikai pristatydami naujausias komercinio stiklo kolekcijas.

Festivalio logotipu pasirinktas geltonas obuolys. Obuolys yra svetingumo ir rudens simbolis – jis atspindi šiltą kvietimą užsukti ir rudens derliaus gausą. Jis žymi langus, kuriuose galima apžiūrėti stiklo meno kūrinius, o QR kodas nukreipia į menininkų darbų aprašymus bei istorijas.

„Ieškok obuolio 2025“ – tai kvietimas atrasti meną miesto kasdienybėje, pasinerti į stiklo istoriją ir patirti, kaip šiuolaikinės instaliacijos bei kūriniai įkvepia naują ryšį tarp praeities ir dabarties.

September 23 – October 26, the Glass Quarter of Vilnius Old Town celebrates its 609th anniversary and invites residents and visitors to the contemporary Lithuanian glass art and design festival “Find the Apple 2025.”

The history of the Glass Quarter stretches back almost five centuries – during the reign of the Grand Duke of Lithuania and King of Poland, Sigismund Augustus, the first glass manufactory was established here by the Paleckis family. From that time on, generations of Vilnius residents would come to Stiklių Street to purchase glassware, and by the end of the 19th century the area had as many as three Glass Streets and one alley. Over time, this district became known as the Glass Quarter.

Today, the Glass Quarter preserves a living cultural continuity and invites us to look at glass through the lens of contemporary art. During the “Find the Apple 2025” festival, visitors will embark on an inspiring journey: glass artworks displayed in the windows and interiors of local businesses, a special exhibition at the Artifex Gallery, lectures and guided tours revealing the secrets of glass history, its trends and technologies.

Visitors will also have the chance to take part in creative glass bead workshops, browse the glass flea market, and enjoy culinary discoveries with apples featured on the menus of restaurants, cafés, and bars. Interior boutiques will also join the festival, presenting the latest commercial glass collections.

The festival’s logo features a yellow apple. The apple is a symbol of hospitality and autumn – it reflects the warmth of welcoming guests and the abundance of the harvest season. It marks the windows where glass artworks can be seen, while QR codes guide visitors to the stories and descriptions of the artists’ works.

“Find the Apple 2025” is an invitation to discover art in everyday urban life, immerse yourself in the history of glass, and experience how contemporary installations and artworks create a new connection between past and present.
